THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED. Centennial Earth Day 2018 is almost here and you won’t want to miss it! This year’s event will focus on appreciating the birds of Centennial with a variety of free bird-related activities for the entire family! Meet falcons, hawks, owls, and eagles in person, make upcycled birdhouses, learn about the birds in Centennial and how to spot them, get your face painted, check out Arapahoe Libraries’ Book Mobile and South Suburban Parks and Recreation District's Fun Bus, enjoy music from our DJ and more!

Knit bird nests provide comfort and warmth to orphaned birds. The Senior Needles & Threads group at Holly Creek Retirement Community is assisting with an effort to knit bird nests in conjunction with the City’s Earth Day event. Join the fun! Drop off your knit bird nest donation at the Earth Day event and help a bird friend in need. Find a knitting pattern.

Electronic Recycling

In conjunction with this event, electronic recycling services will be offered for Centennial residents from 8 a.m. to noon at the Centennial Civic Center, 13133 E. Arapahoe Rd. Before you arrive, please review the list of accepted items.  In exchange for this free service, please consider bringing non-perishable food items as a donation for the Centennial Youth Commission’s food drive, benefiting the Food Bank of the Rockies Thank you to our sponsor, Jacobs, for providing this opportunity for residents to recycle electronic items responsibly.
