Roadside Improvements Underway Along South Side of E. Arapahoe Road from S. Race Street to S. Broadway 

Roadside improvements are underway along the south side of Arapahoe Road from approximately South Race Street to South Broadway. Improvements include the removal of soil and some shrubs, installation of weed barrier fabric and 2"- 4" washed river rock between the back of the sidewalk and the fence lines from South Race Street to South Sterne Parkway.

These improvements are anticipated to be complete by September 1.


S. Liverpool Street Water Main Installation - East Cherry Creek Valley/Arapahoe County Wastewater Authority

Duran Excavating plans on completing the water main installation on S. Liverpool Street on August 23. Once this work is complete, removal and replacement of broken/displaced/deteriorated concrete on S. Liverpool Street between E. Arapahoe Road and E. Smoky Hill Road will take place. Once the concrete is repaired, a mill and overlay on S. Liverpool Street between the same limits previously listed will occur. Work hours have been shortened to 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. minimize the impacts on school drop-offs and pick-ups. All work is expected to be complete by the end of September.

Arapahoe Road Corridor Study

The Arapahoe Road Corridor Opportunities Study is underway. This is a comprehensive roadway analysis of operations along the Arapahoe Road corridor from I-25 to Buckley Road. This analysis will look at the current flow of traffic along this stretch of roadway and identify short and long-term improvements at intersections along the corridor. The overall goal of this study is to identify and prioritize improvements to safety and  operations along the corridor while recognizing current and future development potential will continue to influence the character of the corridor.
