Be prepared in case of emergency.

September 11, 2001 spurred the production of the National Crime Prevention Council's "United for a Stronger America: Citizens' Preparedness Guide."

The goal of this guide is to help Americans learn how to make preparedness a part of their daily lives and improve their neighborhoods and communities in the process.

In addition, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the American Red Cross have produced a brochure "Preparing for Disaster." This guide offers tips on how your family can prepare for an emergency or disaster before it happens.
