Metric Definition:

The number of attendees at programs offered by the School Resource Officers and Community Resource Unit.

Quarterly Performance:

The number of attendees at events is important to Law Enforcement because by engaging directly with members of the community, a wide variety of partnerships will be created. These community partnerships assist in reducing crime, apprehending those involved in criminal activity and improving the community’s overall quality of life.

During the third quarter of 2018, the Community Resources Unit (CRU) held 66 classes with 13,828 attendees and the School Resource Officer Unit (SRO) held 35 classes with 1,148 attendees. Both units combined for the third quarter total 101 classes with 14,976 attendees. The three year (2015-2017) third quarter average number of classes was 173 with an average attendance of 14,467. Although the number of total classes held was below the three year average, the total number of attendees was slightly above the three year average.
