Ordinances
Ordinances under consideration by the Centennial City Council are publicized in full on this website not less than three (3) days prior to the first reading of the ordinance. First reading of an ordinance may be by placement on the City Council’s Consent Agenda for such meeting.
Second reading of an ordinance occurs at a City Council meeting not less than six (6) days following the first reading of the ordinance. A public hearing, at which comments from the public are heard, occurs with the second reading of the ordinance. The full text of the ordinance, with any amendments, is again publicized on this website within two (2) business days after final passage of the ordinance.
Ordinances become effective thirty (30) days after final publication in a newspaper of general or limited circulation within the City.
